WATERTOWN, S.D.–A nine member legislative committee is delving into the conduct of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg the night he struck and killed a pedestrian with his vehicle near Highmore last year.

That committee will then issue its findings to the full 70-member South Dakota House, which could vote on whether to send impeachment proceedings to the Senate.

Republican Nancy York of Watertown (pictured) represents District 5 in the House of Representatives. She explains why she voted in support of forming the nine-member committee to investigate….

But if it gets to a vote in the full House on whether to impeach Ravnsborg, York is not likely to go there….

Ravnsborg has resisted calls, including one from Governor Kristi Noem, to resign. His term as attorney general runs through the end of next year.
