Passenger numbers at Watertown Regional Airport continue to disappoint

WATERTOWN, S.D.–April was a poor month for passenger enplanements at Watertown Regional Airport.
They show a total of 820 passengers boarded Denver Air Connection flights out of Watertown last month. That’s the lowest monthly total this year, and the fourth straight month they’ve failed to reach the 1,000 mark.
Of the passengers that flew out of Watertown in April, 420 went to Denver and 395 to Chicago O’Hare.
The monthly numbers to Denver are the lowest since January 2023 (409).
For the year, there have been 3,614 passenger enplanements out of Watertown, which is 451 passenger less than the same time period in 2023.
