Watertown’s Spencer Waege getting NFL opportunity

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown High School graduate Spencer Waege was not chosen in the NFL Draft over the weekend, but he’s still getting a shot at a pro football career.
Following the conclusion of the seven round draft Saturday night, the San Francisco 49’ers announced they signed Waege as an undrafted free agent.
Waege was a First Team All Missouri Valley Football Conference selection following his senior season with the Bison. He ranks 8th on NDSU’s all time list in tackles for loss with 17.5, including nine career sacks.
