PIERRE, S.D.–Watertown’s City Manager Amanda Mack and 911 Regional Dispatch Center Director Troy VanDusen were in Pierre today to testify in favor of House Bill 1092.
The bill was heard before the House Tax Committee.
Mack tells KWAT News the bill, if approved, would raise the monthly 911 surcharge on phone bills from the current $1.25 per month, per phone line, to $2.00 a month…
She says Watertown’s 911 Center is a busy place, and can use the extra funding…….
The committee approved the bill this morning on a 9-4 vote.
