Watertown man arrested on sex crimes warrant out of Alabama

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Watertown man has been arrested in an ongoing sex crimes investigation in the state of Alabama.

Watertown Police Detective Sergeant Trevor Barthel says they were notified August 12th by police in Rainbow City, Alabama that an arrest warrant was issued for 38 year-old Dustin Schlosser of Watertown for transmitting obscene materials.

Detectives with the Watertown P.D. located Schlosser in the 600 block of East Kemp Avenue where he was taken into custody. At that time, police also found methamphetamine on Schlosser. He’s facing an additional charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Schlosser is being held on $60,000 cash bond on the Alabama warrant. Bond for possessing meth was set at $1,000 cash.
