Watertown man arrested on kidnapping, assault charges

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Watertown man has been arrested and charged with kidnapping following an incident over the weekend in rural Codington County.
Twenty five year-old Deven Burgher allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a woman while using a weapon in the process.
Burgher was arrested Saturday night.
He was arrested in January for a similar incident involving a different woman, and was out on bond at the time of this latest arrest.
Burgher is charged with First Degree Kidnapping, Aggravated Domestic Assault, Intentional Damage to Property, Violation of a Protection Order and Interfering with Emergency Communications.
His bond has been set at $20,000 cash only.
