Watertown man arrested for stealing guns from vehicles

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police have arrested a man for stealing items from vehicles in the downtown area, including two firearms.
Police were notified Wednesday and began working the case.
Through their investigation they identified 35 year-old Franklin Wakefield of Watertown as their suspect and took him into custody.
Wakefield is charged with Grand Theft, Criminal Entry of a Motor Vehicle, Petty Theft from a Motor Vehicle and Third Degree Burglary.
The two stolen firearms were recovered by police.
