WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Regional Airport has a new car rental company.

On a unanimous vote Monday night, the city council approved a contract with Quest Car Rental.

They’re replacing Budget Car Rental, which abruptly left the airport in August due to staffing issues.

City Attorney Lisa Carrico said the Airport Board recommended approval of the contract with Quest, with one addition…

The contract with Quest is non-exclusive, meaning another car rental competitor could be brought in at some point.

The contract calls for Quest to give the city 10-percent of revenue generated each month.

The contract runs through 2028.

Quest is not a major player in the car rental business, but they do provide car rental services at other airports, including Alamosa, Colorado and Apalachicola, Florida.
