UPDATE: Two rollovers in nearly identical locations near Watertown

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating two separate rollover crashes in nearly identical locations near Watertown that occurred roughly 24 hours apart.

The first crash occurred Friday night around 7:30, five miles northwest of Watertown. A Kia Soul was westbound on 164th Street near 450th Avenue when when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went into the north ditch and rolled. The 57 year-old man driving the car sustained serious, non life-threatening injuries.

Then on Saturday night around 8 p.m., a 53 year-old man was killed when the Chrysler he was driving westbound on 164th Street failed to navigate a curve, went into the north ditch and also rolled.

The names of the drivers have not been released.
