UPDATE: SDHP identifies man killed in crash in Charles Mix County

PLATTE, S.D.–The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a man killed in a head-on crash in Charles Mix County on Friday.

Ninety seven year-old Willard Barton of Corsica died when the vehicle he was driving drifted over the center line and collided head-on with a semi.

It happened on Highway 44, two miles east of Platte.

Barton died at the scene. The semi driver had minor injuries.
