WATERTOWN, S.D.–The city of Watertown has announced the annual Citywide Cleanup Week is scheduled for Monday April 26-Friday April 30.
Residents are asked to place their items on the boulevard on Saturday April 24 or Sunday April 25 to ensure they are collected during the week.
The city will NOT return once they’ve gone through a neighborhood.
Items should be sorted into three piles. One for recycled items such as appliances, grills and water softeners. Doors should be removed from refrigerators and freezers.
Another pile is designated for garbage such as carpet, furniture and mattresses.
The third pile should be for electronic waste to include televisions, computer laptops, monitors and keyboards, and video game systems.
The city will NOT pick up building materials, motor oil, batteries, tree branches, tires, clothing, shoes, books, magazines, or any hazardous waste.
