UPDATE: Brandon teen identified as one victim of deadly Sioux Falls crash

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–Sioux Falls police have released the name of one of two people killed in a collision in the city Saturday night.

It happened at 11:40 p.m. at Arrowhead Parkway and Highline Avenue.

One of the cars involved ran a red light and t-boned the driver’s side of a second car.

Killed was the driver of one of the vehicles, 19 year-old Javier Velasquez of Brandon.

One of his passengers, a 20 year-old man, was also killed.

Four others in the vehicles were injured; two of them with life-threatening injuries.

Speed was a factor in the crash. Eyewitnesses say the car that ran the red light may have been traveling has fast as 100 miles an hour.
