UPDATE: Amended charges filed in Pierre stabbing death

PIERRE, S.D.–Amended charges have been announced in the stabbing death of a Rapid City woman in Pierre.
Twenty three year-old David Shangreaux Junior of Pierre has been indicted on First and Second Degree Murder charges in the stabbing death of 17 year-old Evie Maxey.
Pierre police were called to a disturbance at a Pierre apartment on the night of November 30th.
When they got there, Maxey was cold to the touch, and dead.
Court documents allege Shangreaux Junior, Maxey and another woman were socializing and drinking when Shangreaux and Maxey got into an argument, and he stabbed her to death.
Shangreaux is being held on a $300,000 cash bond in the Hughes County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 16th.
