Two people killed in central Minnesota crash

NEW LONDON, Minn.—Two people were killed Wednesday when a vehicle and semi collided in central Minnesota.

The State Patrol says it happened at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 9 and U.S. Highway 71 in Kandiyohi County.

The Freightliner semi was heading northbound on Highway 71 and the Ford Escape was headed eastbound on Highway 9 when they collided.

The two occupants of the Escape, an 80 year-old man and a 76 year-old woman, both from Cambridge, Minnesota, were killed.

The driver of the semi, 67 year-old Bruce Feldman of Renville, Minnesota, sustained non life-threatening injuries.

Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.
