Talks underway on what will replace Watertown’s “Rising Star” logo (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council held a work session Thursday.

It was billed as a, “rebranding kickoff with Simpleview.”

They’re a design company that has been tasked with coming up with a new branding identity and logo for the city of Watertown.

Mayor Ried Holien says the logo and tag line that have been in place for years (pictured) , “needs to go”…..

There was discussion during the work session about possible images to include in Watertown’s new logo. The mayor weighed in on that….

Travis Yewell is a design director with Simpleview, and talked about what’s next in coming up with a new logo…

Simpleview has also been working with the Watertown Convention and Visitors Bureau on updated branding and logos, and the CVB released those designs earlier this week.
