WATERTOWN, S.D.–Summit Carbon Solutions is responding to Governor Noem’s radio comments on its carbon dioxide pipelines.

In an interview with KWAT Radio News Director Mike Tanner this week, Noem said  the company is involved with Chinese business.

Noem said that Summit has received a loan from a Chinese ethanol company and investment from a Chinese central bank.

Summit Carbon responded that her claims simply aren’t true, saying no contributions from China have been received or solicited.

But Summit did secure a $300 million investment from TPG Rise Climate, which has China-based Silk Road Fund as one of its anchor investors.
