South Dakota man sentenced after getting caught in undercover sex sting at Sturgis Bike Rally

RAPID CITY – A Deadwood man has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison after getting nabbed in an undercover sex sting during last year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Sixty two year-old Donald Laun was arrested and charged following multiple chats and sexually explicit text messages with a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, but who was in fact an undercover agent.
Laun proceeded to negotiate a time and place he would meet the minor to engage in unlawful sex acts.
But when Laun went to the pre-determined location to meet the minor, he was instead met by law enforcement agents and arrested.
