Snow expected in the region this week

WATERTOWN, S.D.–It appears the first snow of the season will fall this week in the upper Midwest.
The National Weather Service in Aberdeen mentions snow in the forecast starting Thursday night.
Only trace amounts are expected in northeast South Dakota, with a few inches possible in the north central part of the state (pictured).
A Winter Storm Watch is posted for northwestern North Dakota, where more than 8 inches of snow could fall in places like Minot and Williston from tonight thru Thursday.
