Six businesses fail alcohol compliance checks in Codington County

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police and the Codington County Sheriff’s Department recently conducted alcohol compliance checks at 16 establishments.

Businesses that PASSED the compliance checks were:

81 Liquors (Watertown)

Casey’s (Watertown)

LT’s Liquor (Watertown)

Rooster Bar (Rural Watertown)

Waverly Steakhouse

Scotty’s (South Shore)

Meyer’s Rec (South Shore)

Double Barrel (Henry)

212 One Stop (Henry)

Businesses that FAILED the compliance checks were:

Cowboy Liquors (Watertown)

Gas N’ Goodies (Watertown)

81 Kwik Stop (Watertown)

Midtown Smoke Shop and Casino (Watertown)

Country Road Barn (Rural Watertown)

Tip Top (Kranzburg)

A citation was issued to the employees of the businesses that failed the compliance checks for selling alcohol to a person under 21.
