SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota U.S. Attorney Alison Ramsdell says a Sisseton man convicted of Abusive Sexual Contact has been sentenced.

Twenty six year-old Larry Levi Finley III will spend one year and one day in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.

Finley was indicted for Sexual Abuse of a Minor by a federal grand jury in October of 2022.

He pleaded guilty in May.

According to court documents, between July and October of 2021, Finley engaged in abusive sexual contact with a minor victim.

The victim was over 12 years but younger than 16, and she was unable to consent to the sexual contact. The abuse took place within the tribal lands of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Sioux Tribe.

Finley was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service to begin serving his sentence.
