Sioux Falls police: Two casino robberies and connected

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–Sioux Falls police are investigating two casino robberies that have been determined to be connected.

The first incident happened Wednesday morning at Crown Casino on East 10th.

Two men walked up to the back door. One of the men fired a gun twice at the glass door. They kicked the door and walked away. They were not able to get inside.

There was an employee inside at the time, but there were no injuries.

About three hours later, the same two men went to the Silver Dollar Casino in the 900 block of South Marion Road. Inside were two employees and one patron.

During the robbery, both suspects had guns, which they pointed at the three victims.

They got cash and left.

Police have recovered one of the guns used, but no arrests have been made.
