Sioux Falls police arrest bank robber

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–A man has been arrested after attempting to rob a Wells Fargo Bank in Sioux Falls Tuesday morning.

It happened around 9:30 at the bank branch on 41st and Marion Road.

Officials report a man walked into the bank and presented a note to a teller explaining this was a robbery.

He received money from the teller, and then proceeded to wander inside the building until he was detained by other customers until police arrived.

Thirty nine year-old Matthew Timoney of Sioux Falls was arrested for Second-Degree Robbery and Petty Theft from a Building.

No weapons were displayed during the robbery.
