SDHP: Two men killed in crash just west of Salem

SALEM, S.D.–Two people died following a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning in McCook County, one mile west of Salem.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a pickup was driving west, and a car was traveling east on South Dakota Highway 38. The two vehicles collided in the westbound lane.
Both the 72-year-old man driving the pickup and the 77-year-old man driving the car were not wearing seatbelts, and both sustained fatal injuries.
The Highway Patrol is investigating. Names of the men have not been released.
