SD DOC announces death of prisoner serving life sentence for murder

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–The South Dakota Department of Corrections announced on Saturday that a state prison offender had died on Friday, March 22.
Seventy seven year-old William Cody passed away at the Jameson Annex to the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls.
Cody was serving a life sentence out of Tripp County for first-degree murder.
