WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Regional Airport (ATY) had a great month of June with more than 1,700 passenger boardings.
That was the best month so far this year, but there’s still tremendous room for growth.
That’s according to former Councilman Glen Vilhauer, who served as the laiason to the Watertown Airport Board.
That board met Monday and heard from its new airline consulting firm, and Vilhauer learned there’s a lot of leakage of passengers to neighboring airports in places like Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, Fargo and the Twin Cities…
Watertown Regional Airport is on pace to board about 15,000 passengers this year.
