One business fails alcohol compliance checks in Watertown, Codington County

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police and the Codington County Sheriff’s Office jointly conducted alcohol compliance checks in the city and county this week.
All businesses that were checked in the city passed compliance. They were Dakota Butcher West, Discount Liquor, Cowboy Liquor #2, Highway 81 Liquor and LT’s Liquor.
Nine businesses in the county were checked. The eight that passed were South Fork, Tip Top, Waverly Steak House, Meyers Rec, Sidetrack, Miss Kitty’s, Rooster Bar and Country Road Barn.
The one business that failed compliance was the Double Barrel in Henry.
The bartender that served an underage customer there was cited for funrishing alcohol to a minor.
