Noem to update Ravnsborg crash investigation today

PIERRE, S.D.–Governor Kristi Noem will hold a media briefing in Pierre later this morning to update the investigation into a fatal crash involving Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.

He was driving home from a Republican fundraiser in Redfield on the night of September 12th when he struck and killed a pedestrian on U.S. Highway 14 just outside of Highmore.

Recordings of a 9-1-1 call made by Ravnsborg after the crash indicated the attorney general thought he may have struck a deer.

Joining Governor Noem at today’s press briefing will be Public Safety Department Secretary Craig Price, whose agency is leading up the investigation.
