MITCHELL, S.D.–The Perkin’s Family Restaurant in Mitchell is a total loss following an overnight fire.
Mitchell Fire Marshal Shannon Sandoval says the call came in just after midnight….
He says the building is a total loss. Fire departments from Ethan, Alexandria and Mount Vernon provided mutual aid.
There were no injuries.
Sandoval says the South Dakota Fire Marshal is being called in as well as the Division of Criminal Investigation.
At this point no cause has been determined.
Its been a rough stretch for eating establishments in Mitchell. Recentl, Burger King and Hardee’s closed. Whiskey Creek closed earlier this year.
