ELKTON, S.D.–The names of two men killed in a car-train collision in Elkton a month-and-a-half ago have been released.

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says the victims were 28 year-old Devon Fletcher of Pipestone, Minnesota, and 37 year-old Donovan Hollis of Trosky, Minnesota.

They were killed August 18th when the car Fletcher was driving on Highway 13 crashed through the warning arm at a train crossing and struck the train.

The car caught fire, and the two occupants were trapped inside.

The train derailed and crashed into a grain elevator.

Due to injuries sustained in the crash, a DNA confirmation process was required for positive identification of the two men killed.
