More reports of vehicle tampering in Brookings County

BROOKINGS, S.D.–The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a disturbing series of recent incidents involving tampering with vehicles.
The latest incident occurred last week when most of the lug nuts on an SUV’s tires were removed or loosened. It happened while the Chevy Silverado was parked in either Bruce or Volga.
Several of these types of incidents have occurred in the county in recent weeks, and law enforcement officials are asking home and business owners with security cameras to check their video footage for signs of
suspicious activity. If you see any, you’re asked to call the sheriff’s office.
