PIERRE, S.D.–Here are the latest numbers on the COVID-19 pandemic as they relate to South Dakota.

The State Health Department reports 1,685 infections in the state. That’s fifty more than Sunday.

As has been the case for many days, the majority of the new cases, 43 of them, were in Minnehaha County.

Codington County remains with one active case of the virus out of the 13 who’ve tested positive.

Tonight, the Watertown City Council will review an emergency ordinance that closed some non-essential businesses March 26th.

There’s been a growing consensus across the country to re-open business and get people back to work. Skeptics say it may still be too soon for that.
