PIERRE, S.D.–A Minnesota truck driver has been ticketed by Pierre police after he got his 18-wheeler stuck under the Pierre Railroad viaduct.

Pierre Police Captain Dusty Pelle says the crash happened a few minutes before eight o’clock Monday morning.

The truck driver, 37 year-old Ahmed Ibrahim of Willmar was northbound on Pierre Street when the semi trailer struck the bridge.

The trailer exceeded the 11-foot, three-inch height limit getting the semi stuck.

Northbound Pierre Street was closed for around two-hours while crews worked to remove the trailer.
