WATERTOWN, S.D.–There have been very preliminary talks about constructing new athletic facilities in Watertown for Arrows sports teams, and later this month, a meeting will be held to talk more in depth about what plans could look like moving forward.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Danielsen spoke to the Watertown School Board at Monday night’s meeting…

The project could include a new football field to replace the aging Watertown Stadium (pictured), which opened in 1941. Preliminary conversations have included the possibility of an artificial turf playing surface for football.
