WATERTOWN, S.D.–The former city attorney in Watertown is hopeful of getting into state politics.
Matt Roby has announced he’s running for a seat in the House of Representatives in District 5.
The lifelong Republican says he prides himself on being a good listener, and is eager to continue listening and gaining the support of voters.
Roby wants to be an advocate for education, enhance economic development opportunities, and address mental health and addiction issues.
Roby was the Watertown City Attorney from 2017 to 2022, and prior to that, served as an Assistant South Dakota Attorney General.
