Man killed in wrong way crash on Interstate 90 in Pennington County

WALL, S.D.–One man is dead in a wrong-way crash that happened just before 7 Saturday morning in Pennington County.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol reported a 39-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on Interstate 90, about 1 mile east of Wall. Another car, driven by a 34-year-old man, was heading westbound on I-90 in the eastbound lanes when the vehicles collided head-on, and the man died at the scene.
The female driver sustained life-threatening injuries, and a 43-year-old passenger sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
All three people were wearing seatbelts.
