Man killed in Turner County rollover; woman killed in Yankton County crash identified

MONROE, S.D.—A man has died in a pickup rollover crash in South Dakota’s Turner County.
The Highway Patrol says it happened just after 8:30 Monday night four miles east of Monroe.
The 42 year-old victim was eastbound when he went into the ditch and rolled.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the pickup, and died from his injuries.
His name has not been released.
Meanwhile, authorities have identified a woman killed in a head-on crash 11 miles north of Yankton last week.
Nineteen year-old Abigail Gilkerson of Yankton died when her car collided head-on with a semi on U.S. Highway 81.
The semi driver, from Rock Rapids, Iowa, sustained minor injuries.
