Lake Benton woman injured when car collides with train in Brookings County

ELKTON, S.D.—A Lake Benton, Minnesota woman was injured Tuesday when her car was struck by a train.
Brookings County Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says it happened at 9:00 p.m. at a crossing in Elkton.
Twenty five year-old Itzel Tattiana Vincent was northbound on Cornell Avenue, and did not see the approaching train.
Vincent’s Ford Focus is a total loss.
The Rapid City Pierre Eastern Railroad train suffered minimal damage.
Vincent was taken to the Brookings Hospital with unknown injuries.
