Girl dies in tubing accident on Lake Madison

MADISON, S.D.–The Lake County Sheriff’s Department and South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks are investigating a deadly accident on Lake Madison.
It happened Monday. Eyewitnesses say a young girl, who family members have identified as Emily Gorman, was being pulled on an inner tube when she was involved in a collision with a jet ski.
Medical personnel were on the scene minutes after the accident occurred, but the girl died.
Emily was an eighth grader who attended school in Harrisburg.
