Four plex apartment building in Watertown damaged by fire

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Fire Rescue spent two hours on the scene of a kitchen fire Friday night.
The fire was reported just after 10:30, and was in a second-floor unit of a four-plex apartment building at 313 4th Street Northwest.
After conducting a primary search that revealed that all residents got out of the building, crews used a thermal imaging camera to pinpoint the location of the fire and extinguishing it.
All four apartment units sustained fire, smoke and water damage.
Three of the four apartment units were occupied at the time of the fire, with smoke detectors alarming them to evacuate.
