Four facing federal charges for distributing fentanyl-laced pills in northeast South Dakota

PIERRE, S.D.–Four people have been charged in federal court with conspiracy to distribute fentanyl in northeast South Dakota.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 24 year-old Jevon McLeod and 24 year-old Tiarah Bissonette, both of Sisseton, and 57 year-old Daren Basche and 22 year-old Trey Petrich, both of Watertown, were indicted last month. All four have pleaded not guilty.
Authorities say the four are alleged to have knowingly and intentionally conspired with others to distribute pills containing the controlled substance fentanyl in northeast South Dakota.
A trial date has not been set.
