First Premier Bank donating $500,000 for scoreboard at Watertown’s Allen Mitchell Field

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown School District has received a half-million dollar donation from First Premier Bank and Bankcard for the scoreboard that will be installed at the newly-renovated Allen Mitchell Field.

Representatives from First Premier were on hand in between the boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball games on Friday to present the donation to School Board Vice-President, Jon Iverson, and Superintendent, Jeff Danielsen.

The scoreboard will be installed during Phase II of the Allen Mitchell Field remodel.

Groundbreaking for Phase II is scheduled for late April with completion in July 2025.

Superintendent Jeff Danielsen had this to say about the donation. “I continue to be amazed at the generosity in the community of Watertown. First Premier’s decision to donate towards this project has been such a great addition to the overall project. I can’t thank Dana Dykhouse and the local folks at First Premier Bank and Bankcard enough for their efforts and seeing this be a reality.”
