Fire damages shop just east of Arlington

ARLINGTON, S.D.–A costly fire in Brookings County.
The sheriff’s office says it happened Friday afternoon at a shop on 455th Avenue near 204th Street, which is just east of Arlington.
Fire departments from Arlington, Brookings, Bruce, Volga and Sinai responded to find a shop on fire that contained a semi, many tools, vehicles and shop equipment.
Damage to the shop and its contents is estimated to be around $300,000.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
