WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council tonight will move forward toward hiring a city manager.
They’ll select a group of finalists who will interview for the position.
A consultant who’s helping the city with the hiring process will be at the meeting to talk about the timeline for interviewing finalists, and a travel reimbursement plan for those finalists.
Watertown is moving to a city manager-led form of government this summer, with a smaller city council and a part-time mayor.
Also tonight, the council will hear a presentation on the Watertown Police Department’s 2020 annual report.
