WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown has a familiar face back at City Hall.

City Engineer and Public Works Director Heath Von Eye announced in October that he was leaving his job for new employment in the private sector.

But now he’s back.

City Manager Amanda Mack says at this week’s city council meeting, his benefits package was approved, and he’s back in his office once again serving as Watertown’s Public Works Director and City Engineer.

Von Eye initially came to work in Watertown in 2018 after leaving his job as Director of Development Services and City Engineer in Gillette, Wyoming.
