Codington County deputies make two arrests during traffic stop near Dakota Sioux Casino

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Codington County deputies made two arrests Wednesday night following a traffic stop and subsequent foot chase.
Sheriff Brad Howell says just before 11:00 p.m. a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a Chevy Tahoe near the entrance to Dakota Sioux Casino.
The suspect, 41 year-old Michael Mitchell of Brandon, ran from deputies, but was chased down and arrested.
A passenger in the Tahoe, 46 year-old Jana Hagman of Adrian, Minnesota, was also arrested.
Howell says there were multiple burglary tools in Mitchell’s vehicle, along with several vials, hypodermic needles, a half-ounce of meth and drug distribution equipment.
Bond was set at $15,000 cash only for Mitchell. Hagman’s bond was set at $5,000 cash.
