Close call for driver, passenger in Deuel County

CLEAR LAKE. S.D.–A close call for a motorist on Interstate 29 Sunday.
The Deuel County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of a silver jeep was southbound around mile marker 154 when the vehicle began to hydroplane on the wet roadway.
The jeep entered the west ditch and went through a fence.
While going through the fence, a wooden fence post pierced through the windshield and went into the back seat, which was not occupied.
Neither the driver or front seat passenger were injured.
