WATERTOWN, S.D.—Codington County has just one active case of the COVID-19 virus, and the number of infections has not changed in a week.

With those facts in mind, KWAT News asked Watertown Mayor Sarah Caron if it’s still too soon to consider re-opening the non-essential businesses that were forced to close last month under an emergency ordinance passed by the city council….

Codington County has seen 12 infections of COVID-19. Eleven of those people have recovered.

Statewide, there have been 868 infections, 75-percent of which have occurred in Minnehaha County.
