Canton man identified as victim of deadly motorcycle crash

HUDSON, S.D. – A Canton man has been identified as the person who died in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon three miles west of Hudson, South Dakota.
The Highway Patrol says 57 year-old Donald Farnsworth III was westbound on 294th Street when the driver made a left turn onto Spur Avenue.
He failed to negotiate the curve and the motorcycle left the roadway and went into the west ditch. Both occupants were thrown from the motorcycle.
Dondald Farnsworth was dead at the scene.
Fifty nine year-old Glenna Farnsworth of Canton, who was a passenger, sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to a Sioux Falls hospital.
