Burn ban enacted in Brookings County

BROOKINGS, S.D.–Dry conditions this fall have prompted officials in Brookings County to enact a burn ban.

The Brookings County Commission at its meeting today passed a resolution that prohibits all open burning in the county without a permit.

The resolution will be in effect and enforced until rescinded by the county commission.
