“Build It Now Committee” updates fundraising campaign for new Watertown Ice Arena (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Fundraising continues for Watertown’s new two-sheet ice arena that’s expected to open in late 2023.

Jodi Driscoll chairs the, “Build It Now Committee,” which has a goal of raising five million dollars toward the project…

The city is contributing 20-million dollars in sales tax revenues toward this project.

Driscoll talked with KWAT News about why there’s the need for this committee to go out and raise even more money….

Groundbreaking on the arena is expected this summer.
